About the university
CTGU is located in Yichang, Hubei, co-built by the Ministry of Water Resources and the Hubei Provincial Government. Its history reaches back to 1923 and it is known for hydropower and electrical engineering, covering engineering, medicine, science, humanities, economics and management, with bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral authority and a post-doctoral station. It hosts over 1,200 international students.
The 2026 admission guide published by the College of Health Medicine lists Nursing (4 years, English or Chinese) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (5 years, Chinese) at CNY 15,000 a year. English-taught engineering and business majors (Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Automation, Computer and Communications Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing) are around CNY 15,000 a year, subject to university confirmation.
